Get ‘Ambush’ed at the Royal Brock Spring Fling

The Royal Brock “Spring Fling, dinner and Dance” turned out to be the highlight of June. Many of our residents were curious about what was going to happen during the Spring Fling. Would there be dancing? Should they get dressed in their best clothing? After seeing the Windows decorated; Residents couldn’t help but converse about what was to come. The windows were covered for one of the first times since the Grand opening of Royal Brock as a retirement home. Residents continued to state how beautiful the decorations were, and requested they remain in place for a few days following the event. The ‘spring fling’ followed the same structure as our regular fine dining which we offer, on a monthly basis. An upscale diner at 5PM, and entertainment to follow for 6PM. This time with a small twist. Our entertainer for this event was Ambush, a very well known band. Many stories erupted from our residents. Some about knowing the band, or family of the band. Some about knowing previous band members. Everyone was talking and reminiscing; sharing their stories.

By the end of the event, and regardless of the stories, the one thing that everyone was asking… When are they coming back?

When I reached out to Mark, he told me that playing in retirement homes was something that he used to do with his father in younger years. He mentioned that it was something that held a special place, and meaning to him. We were all very pleased with the quality of entertainment that was provided. Mark will also be returning to play a solo set for Royal Brock in August.

Always making memories that the Royal Brock.
