Howdy, Y’all!

Last night, we had ourselves a rootin’ tootin’ good time at this month’s Grand Ole Opry-themed Fine Dining event. It was a true Nashville experience, capturing the heart and soul of the city that made country music famous.

We kicked off the evening with a mouth-watering appetizer of Roasted Red Pepper Deviled Eggs served on a bed of fresh greens. It was the perfect start to a night that promised to be as legendary as the Opry itself. For the main course, residents had a choice between Slow Cooked Smokey BBQ Baby Back Ribs, tender and dripping in BBQ sauce, or the Southern favorite, Fried Cajun Catfish, breaded and fried to golden perfection. Sides of Southern Succotash and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes perfectly complemented these hearty entrees.

The showstopper dessert was a Tennessee Bourbon Sticky Pudding, a rich pudding cake topped with a luscious caramel bourbon sauce. After dinner, we were entertained by Barry Yuen and his Trio, who had us tappin’ our toes and reminiscing ’bout the golden days of  music.
