Great things are happening here at the Royal Brock Retirement. We just have to share a story from our Director of Care Jenifer Willis’ 9 Year old daughter.

“In May of this year, my 9 year old daughter Madeline surprised me with a question.  ‘Mom, have any famous people ever stayed at the Royal Brock’ she asked.

‘Why do you ask?’, was my answer. Her reply got my attention; ‘ well, I am doing my Heritage Fair Project on  Royal Brock Retirement, and I am almost done.  I just need some more information’.

Madeline attends Lombardy Public School, and this was her first ever Heritage Fair project.

Madeline and her sister Georgia helped  out at the Royal Brock Retirement Living, even before we opened our doors. They pitched in  to unwrap and organize all our lobby furniture the weekend before we threw open our doors.  One of our owners, Paul Cranley called her ‘our first volunteer’, a position she has very much taken to heart.  We made her a name tag, and whenever she askes to come and see ‘her residents’ she wears it proudly.

So, with her list of famous Royal Brock Patrons added to her project – she placed top 20 in her school, and made it to the Perth Regional Heritage Fair!
